During the summer months, the common village feasts’ fireworks and celebrations can be enjoyed from the Marsaxlokk farmhouse thanks to its magnificent 360° views.
Watch out for these dates if you want to coincide your trip with the unique opportunity to attend the village’s feast with its religious procession and spectacular firework that are organized in honor of Our Lady: May 8th, 1st Sunday in August, and 1st Sunday in October.
Visit the church of Marsaxlokk which is dedicated to Our Lady of Pompeii. This is a traditional fishing village where you can roam through the splendid, joyful fish market on Sundays. Amble about the streets or stroll through one of the prettiest harbours in Malta and admire the brightly colored luzzus (the traditional Maltese fishing boats) bobbing on the calm waters.
Hike through the green hillocks where the famous epic Troy was filmed. Visit Fort St. Lucian, the 17th century tower, one of seven, which were built by Grand Master Alof de Wignacourt. Finish off the day at one of the romantic little restaurants with an aromatic plate of fresh morning catch and a glass of local wine.
